Wood

The wooden small furniture that I design generally has geometric shapes and patterns. Characteristic are the laminated panels of two contrasting colored woods, for example mahogany and pine, meranti and douglas, merbau and jatoba or ash, or other combinations.
For the names of my designs I use letters from the Greek alphabet and Greek numbers that refer to the shape.

Much of the wood I process comes from used floors. The advantage is that this wood has often been lying around for decades and is therefore largely worn out. Laminating makes the panels particularly stiff and stable. Another advantage I find is the reuse of the floor wood, which is given a second life in my furniture. Exception: I used new floor wood in the Delta 2 and 3 stools.
